How the pandemic wiped out oil demand around the world April 10, 2020 at 12:05AM

Currently, more than two-thirds of the world’s population is in lockdown, meaning no one is driving, flying or doing much that would require the use of crude or its derivatives. In India, the crude demand has collapsed by 70%. Against this backdrop, the Opec and allies held a virtual meeting to hammer out an agreement to prevent the world from drowning in unwanted crude.
