All departments of the Delhi government will now use only electric vehicles, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia announced recently. Moreover, for greater public adoption of EVs the state government is offering incentives of up to Rs 3 lakh (Rs 1.5 lakh subsidy, registration, and road tax exemption). Several other states including Maharashtra, Telangana and Karnataka are solidifying EV policies and schemes.
