The launch of the Polo TSI can be widely credited with the start of the turbocharging era in India, it has predictably led to the development and release of the i10 Nios Turbo, the Tata Altroz with its 1.2-litre Revotron turbo-petrol engines, giving the budget-conscious buyer the option of turbocharging. For the enthusiasts, however, cars like the Rapid, Vento and the limited edition Skoda Octavia VRS 245, and the Kia Seltos G1.4 variant all come with turbocharged engines.
