Mumbai: Rooftop indicators for kaali peelis from February January 13, 2020 at 02:21PM

New kaali peelis must install rooftop indicators with colour codes to indicate if a cab is ‘occupied’ or ‘available for travel’ from February 1, transport commissioner Shekhar Channe said on Monday, adding that old kaali peelis will have to install them in the same month, while autorickshaw drivers will be told to do so in the coming weeks. The objective is to tackle refusals while inculcating discipline among drivers.
