Hyundai Motor India has used the drop in domestic demand to push higher numbers of exports clocking a 20% increase in exports in calendar 2019. “By increasing export volumes we could manage shortfall situation of domestic demand. That’s how we balanced our production so we did not need to go for a plant shutdown,” said Hyundai Motor India MD and CEO S S Kim.
